About the Scriabin Club
The Scriabin Club is an international organization that is devoted to the music and ideas of Alexander Scriabin and their relevance today. We connect Scriabin enthusiasts, publish research, and promote Scriabin’s music.
Our Vision
We view the world as a single city, composed of a common substance. As part of this world, humanity has a unique creative capacity through which we can further human development. We therefore regard Alexander Scriabin not only as a brilliant historical figure, but also as a source of inspiration for creativity.
What we do

Music: We promote Scriabin’s music through concerts, recordings, performances, and creative projects.

Research: We publish and support research into Scriabin’s music, philosophy, and wider artistic world.

Education: We encourage musical education as a way to unlock each person’s creative potential. This includes collaborating with schools, conservatories and universities.

Community: We aim to build a global movement of Scriabin enthusiasts to develop, share and implement new ideas. Through regular conferences we develop new ideas.

Founding of Scriabin Club
The Scriabin Club was founded in November 2020 in the Netherlands by pianist and music educator Martin Kaptein. From the beginning, the Club was meant as a global initiative, a space for musicians, researchers, listeners, artists, and thinkers all over the world.
The Scriabin Club is the successor of the former European Scriabin Society (Stichting Europees Skrjabin Genootschap) founded by Rolf Knap in 1985 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
In the beginning Scriabin Club consisted of a core group of students in the Netherlands in Germany, but now has grown to include participants all over the world.
